About Me

Bio: For over twenty years Joe Graham has had an impact on his Essex County community through music. He Started by volunteering to play guitar for community events, various church groups and now as a trained Music Therapist. He currently lives in Windsor On. with his wife and four children. Enjoying family life, and working on furthering music therapy in His community.

Through music Joe is passionate about creating positive change in people undergoing difficult situations. Writing, performing, and producing music with clients has made a difference in their lives to share their story. Increasing awareness for client’s situations through music has had tremendous impact on the clients, their families, and with the whole care team involved. Dr. Al Tatari of Met Hospital in Windsor commented after a session, “I don’t want to talk about medicine, I can’t. This was the real healing.” The song played in the session has been made available by the parent to share her daughter’s story and can be found at http://www.truegroovemusictherapy.com.Work and volunteer placements include:  the Walkerville STEPS program for developmentally disabled teens, Brentwood Recovery Center for adults struggling with addictions. A six month internship was completed at the Windsor Regional Hospital Met campus pediatric and oncology unit, as well as the CCAC Palliative Consultative Team. Both of the internship sites have graciously found funding for him to continue the Music Therapy work. The residents at the ST. Joseph’s hospice in Sarnia and The Villages of Aspen lake long term care facility look forward to their weekly visits from Joe. For many it is one of the highlights of their week, “My mother just can’t wait till Thursdays and you sing to her, she loves it” says a daughter of one of the Aspen Lake residents.

After working 10 years at RadioShack and playing music on the side, Joe found his calling of mixing people, technology, and music to create unforgettable life experiences. Now adding to his music therapy practice, and music education business Joe is the Kid’s Circle coordinator for the Erie St. Clair Von, providing care for children who have been effected by death of a close family member or a serious life illness.

In appreciation,
